Another artist that inspires me is Bob Ross. He inspires me because he makes painting look so easy. He also manages to make his paintings look dreamlike by not letting everything have sharp lines. He always said he was going to make a "happy little tree", and every time he cleans a brush he "beats the devil out of it". He uses oil on canvas when painting.

My art process starts with my mom and always asking her what she thinks about my ideas. She helped my create the idea of a creepy Alice in Wonderland. First I did multiple sketches of my characters that would be in my 144. I then started the process of painting it. I did things a little backwards and painted the characters first because I was having a hard time seeing what the background would look like. I would probably change that now, because it made it harder to make sure there wasn't bleeding where there shouldn't be.
My metamorphasis started with an idea to do a sea horse that was camoflaging itself with coral. If I could change anything I would make the background have more depth. I would also add more seaweed and make it a little more dark.
For my social commentary I decided to advocate for the 22 soldiers that commit suicide each day. A monthly suicide report from 2012 shows that there were 325 potential suicides among active and reserve troops. The reason I chose to advocate for them was that I myslef live with a veteran and have seen first hand the effects of war on a soldiers mind and body. Each bullet in my picture represents a life that is taken each hour. The only thing that I'd change about my picture is how I spaced the bullets, because compositionally there isnt even spacing.
For my selfie I used watercolor. If I clould change anything I woukd change how vibrant the background is. Otherwise I think I did really good when I used color pencils on the watercolor.
